2020 marks the 7th year of the hugely popular RunDerby Race Series – showcasing the best running races in and around Derby.

This year’s Race Series includes 6 running events in the Derby region from May to November. Taking part in any number of these events automatically generates points for the runner (or volunteer) based on the finishing position in each race. No additional registration is required to take part in the Race Series.

Sinfin Classic 10k


10.30am, Sunday 10th May, 2020


Sinfin Running Club’s annual race is the popular Sinfin Classic 10k. The course goes around the beautiful grounds of Elvaston Castle and Country Park.




Carsington 7+


9.30am, Sunday 17th May, 2020


Carsington 7+ is a 7.76 mile (12.5km) race around the stunning Carsington Reservoir. Runners complete a full clockwise circuit of the reservoir, taking in spectacular views across the water and the beautiful Derbyshire countryside.




Derby Half Marathon


9.15am, Sunday 7th June, 2020


The 2020 event will be bigger and better than ever. The exciting new route starts and finishes in Iron Gate close to Derby Cathedral and takes in Pride Park Stadium, Alvaston Park and the stunning scenery of Elvaston Castle Country Park.




Smalley 5 Bells



5pm, Saturday 4th July, 2020


Experience the inspiring atmosphere of one of the UK’s friendliest running clubs by taking part in the ‘Smalley 5 Bells’ race this coming summer. The challenging, yet enjoyable 5 mile route is inclusive for beginners, intermediate and advanced runners alike.

Wilne 10k

The scenic, flat, traffic-free road race is open to all abilities and is an excellent course for people looking for an easy flat 10k or for a PB time. Hosting regional/national championships, the event attracts some of the best British athletes.




Shelton Striders 10k

A fast and flat 10k course around Sinfin and Shelton Lock.




Derby 10 Mile


10am, Sunday 15th November, 2020


The iconic Derby Arena will again be the host venue for this year’s race, providing a brilliant start and finish. The route takes in the beautiful grounds of Elvaston Castle Country Park and the course remains flat and fast, providing the potential for a personal best.
