2019 marks the 6th year of the hugely popular RunDerby Race Series – showcasing the best running races in and around Derby.

This year’s Race Series includes 6 running events in the Derby region from May to November. Taking part in any number of these events automatically generates points for the runner (or volunteer) based on the finishing position in each race. No additional registration is required to take part in the Race Series.

Sinfin Classic 10k


10.30am, Sunday 12th May, 2019


Sinfin Running Club’s annual race is the popular Sinfin Classic 10k. The course goes around the beautiful grounds of Elvaston Castle and Country Park.




Carsington 7+


9.30am, Sunday 19th May, 2019


Carsington 7+ is a 7.76 mile (12.5km) race around the stunning Carsington Reservoir. Runners complete a full clockwise circuit of the reservoir, taking in spectacular views across the water and the beautiful Derbyshire countryside.




Derby Half Marathon


9.15am, Sunday 9th June, 2019


This year's Derby Half Marathon boasts an exciting new city centre start and finish in Iron Gate close to Derby Cathedral, which will further enhance the event’s already vibrant atmosphere.

Popular features including Derby County’s Pride Park Stadium, Alvaston Park and Elvaston Castle Country Park remain as key elements of the new-look course.




Wilne 10k


10am, Sunday 1st September, 2019


The scenic, flat, traffic-free road race is open to all abilities and is an excellent course for people looking for an easy flat 10k or for a PB time. Hosting regional/national championships, the event attracts some of the best British athletes.




Shelton Striders 10k


9.45am, Sunday 6th October, 2019


A fast and flat 10k course around Sinfin and Shelton Lock.




Derby 10 Mile


10am, Sunday 15th November, 2019


The iconic Derby Arena will be the new host venue for this year’s race, providing a brilliant new start and finish as well as a brand new Race Village. The amended route will still take in the beautiful grounds of Elvaston Castle Country Park and the course remains flat and fast, providing the potential for a personal best.
